2011 got off to a disappointing start for Hendon as they lost 3-0 to Harrow Borough, in a game where Harrow's keeper was rarely tested.
The first half was largely uneventful, but Harrow took the lead early in the second period. The goal was controversial as it appeared that James Reading was pushed into the goal whilst in possession of the ball, but the referee gave the goal.
Troy Hewitt doubled the lead in the 67th minute with a fine strike, and the scoring was completed by Dewayne Clarke on the stroke of full time.
It must be said that despite the controversy over the opening goal, Harrow thoroughly deserved to win the game following the disappointing performance from Hendon.
