The Greens made hard work of it, but eventually overcame Arlesey Town 2-1 in tonight's Bryco Cup tie. Falling behind to a 21st minute converted penalty by Dean Harding, the Greens struggled to get into the game during the first half. The introduction of Steve Forbes at half time sparked some life into the team and Ricci Crace hooked home the equaliser in the 59th minute after good work by Eugene Ofori. The Greens controlled much of the second half and it was no real surprise when Paul Towler headed home when Steve Forbes headed a Kieran Gallagher corner back across the goal. The Greens then saw out the rest of the game in relative comfort, hindered only by the withdrawl of Forbes with a suspected hamstring strain, and now face Wingate & Finchley in the Fourth Round, the game due to take place on Tuesday, 14th January, kick off 7.45pm at Claremont Road.
