Tomorrow night, Hendon travel up the A5 to meet Wealdstone in the Middlesex Senior Cup quarter-final at Edgware's White Lion ground. The teams last met in 1999, when the Stones won on penalties in an Isthmian League Full Members Cup tie. Wealdstone's young side are challenging for promotion from Ryman League Division One North, lying third in the table 13 points behind leaders Northwood, but they have played the fewest games of the 5 teams chasing the second promotion place. They lost 2-0 at Marlow on Saturday with what was reported to be a very disappointing performance that they will be aiming to bounce back from. Wealdstone have beaten Enfield and Northwood in home ties to reach this stage, while Hendon, the defending county cup holders, had a bye in round one and overcame Hillingdon Borough 5-1 at home. Kick off at the White Lion Ground is at 7.45pm.
