Hendon survived a late scare this evening at Wealdstone to move into the semi finals of the county cup with a 3-2 win. With a near full strength side against Wealdstone's much weakened side which included a number of youth team players, Hendon took control and it was no surprise when they took the lead through Dale Binns in the 19th minute. Eugene Ofori doubled the lead shortly before half time and it seemed that the game was won. The first scare came in the 81st minute when Andy Myhill pulled a goal back with an excellent strike, and just three minutes later Ben Alexander equalised as the Greens sat back. This sparked life back into the Greens and with two minutes of normal time left Rob Haworth fired home the winning goal much to the relief of the travelling support. Credit must be given to Wealdstone's youngsters who fought for every ball and never gave up. The reward is a home semi final tie against Hampton & Richmond Borough.
