Hendon won their local derby against Harrow Borough 2-0 this evening to complete the double over their Middlesex rivals. The Greens took the lead in the 12th minute when Ricci Crace shot home and this helped Hendon take the game by the scruff of the neck. Harrow did force Dave King into one save in the first half but otherwise the Hendon stopper remained largely untested due to the continued excellent form of the defensive trio of Mark Burgess, Steve Butler and Mark Cooper. Hendon had the bulk of possession in the second half and were rewarded with four minutes to go when Dale Binns scored a delightful goal from 20 yards, beating Keita Karamoko all ends up as the ball flew into the top corner of the goal. With other results going the way of the Greens, the win means that should they win their remaining four games, they will finish second in the league.
