With the exception of the Under 16's game at Claremont Road tomorrow evening, the youth team season has come to a close. We apologise again for the lack of coverage this season, and we will endeavour to bring back full coverage next season.
The league tables have been updated on the site, and show that the Under 16's will finish 4th should they pick up a point tomorrow evening against St Joseph's. Mark Crawford has brought on the team in leaps and bounds and this was proven a few weeks ago when a number of the Under 16 squad made their reserve team debuts.
The Under 15's, under the leadership of Tony Moran, had a very good season finishing 3rd, conceding just 16 goals during the season, an average of just one per game, an excellent record. The Under 14's finished 5th in their division, scoring 68 goals in their 16 games. However that scoring record pales into insignificance with Kentish Town, who scored 123 goals in their games. Finally, the Under 11's, in their first season and after a late start finished very well in 3rd place, again with their defence to thank.
We would like to thank Mark Crawford, Tony Moran, Dewi Davies, Gary Eaton and their assistants for all their hard work this season with the youth teams. Later in the summer we will let you know in which age groups we will be running teams next season and how to go about applying for a trial should anyone be interested.
