Hendon remain on top of the table despite losing 1-0 at Braintree Town in an entertaining game yesterday afternoon. The goal came in the 75th minute when James Baker managed to fire the ball home in a crowded goal area. Both sides created chances throughout the game, and Braintree can certainly be indebted to the form of their keeper Danny Gay who made a number of good saves, while Anthony Robinson hit the woodwork, and Dave Hunt had a shot cleared off the line. It was very similar at the other end with Dave King making some good saves, the woodwork being hit as well as another shot cleared off the line.
