Our focus on the pitch moves to the FA Trophy as Gary and the squad prepare for tomorrow's 2nd qualifying round tie at AFC Sudbury. We will be hoping that we can win a second game in the competition for the first time since 2004. Gary will be keen to ensure that the players are not distracted by our FA Cup tie next weekend, and that they concentrate on the job in hand.

We have never played AFC Sudbury before, they were formed from a merger of Sudbury Wanderers and Sudbury Town a few years ago. However, we did play at Sudbury Wanderers in the FA Cup in September 1994 when we won 1-0 courtesy of an own goal. We also travelled to Sudbury Town in the FA Cup, back in October 1989 when goals from Greg Zacharia and Martin McCayna saw us win 2-1.

AFC Sudbury did have one familiar face in their squad earlier this season, in veteran keeper Richard Wilmot, but he was unfortunately released a couple of week ago.

Our opponents have reached this stage of the competition courtesy of two away wins. In the preliminary round, they won 6-4 at Merstham, whilst in the first qualifying round they beat Canvey Island 2-1 at Park Lane. Their most recent game was on Tuesday evening, when they lost 5-3 to Bury Town in the Suffolk Premier Cup.

There are still spaces on the coach for tomorrow's game - priced at £10 each. If you would like to travel on the coach, please email us on admin@hendonfc.net before 9pm this evening.

Kick off at AFC Sudbury tomorrow is at the usual time of 3:00pm. If a replay is required, it will take place on Tuesday 2nd November at Vale Farm, kicking off at 7:45pm.
