Prior to Saturday's first team win at Bromley, the supporters team had a tough morning against Hayes Lane Ultras, the Bromley supporters side. With only 10 men turning up, a handful letting the side down by letting the manager know they couldn't come, two Bromley players volunteered to switch sides. The Greens conceded early on, with two more goals following in the first half. The Greens' job was made tougher when Steve Rogers left the game after 30 minutes with a groin strain, and at half-time Jake Osborn required treatment on an ankle injury.
The second half continued in much the same vein, with Bromley scoring 5 more goals. Jake Osborn had to leave the field with 20 minutes to go as his ankle was too painful, leaving Hendon with ten men, and with two or three other Hendon players picking up knocks it was a relief when the final whistle went. Men of the match were Phil Rogers, who worked tirelessly throughout the game, covering most of the pitch, and Liam Coogan-Jobes who was excellent in defence.
Plenty of lessons were learnt on the day, and Eddie Edwards is keen to ensure that his charges bounce back when they next take the field.
