We return to the FA Cup trail on Saturday afternoon as we make the trip to the South Coast to face Whitehawk, who are in their first season in Ryman League Division One South.

Whitehawk were promoted from the Sussex County League in the summer, and have made a good start to the season and lie in 10th place with 12 points from their 8 games played so far. Last Saturday they began their first FA Trophy campaign with a 2-1 win at Ware.

In the FA Cup, they began in the Preliminary Round with a 4-0 replay win against Hartley Wintney, having drawn the original game 2-2. They then went on to knock out Maidstone United in the next round, winning 3-1, before winning 6-2 at Burnham in the last round.

Their best FA Cup performance came in 1988/89 when they reached the fourth qualifying round, before being knocked out by Bognor Regis Town. They will be keen to try and match that achievement, and it will be down to Gary McCann and the squad to make sure that doesn't happen.

There are still spaces on the coach that is going to the game. It will leave Vale Farm promptly at 10.30am, and seats cost just £10. If you would like to go on the coach, please email us on admin@hendonfc.net before 6pm tomorrow evening.

Should the game at Whitehawk end in a draw, the replay will take place at Vale Farm on Monday evening, kick off 7.45pm.
