The Capital League season has now ended, and the Greens have finished in a respectable 5th place after an improved run of results in the latter part of the season. Danny Edwards and Adilson Lopes have both progressed from the reserves to make appearances in the first team, whilst six others will be training with the first team next season. As mentioned earlier in the week, we won't be running a reserve side next season so that all the resources can be concentrated on the first team.

The under 18/'A' Team had to unfortunately forfeit their final three fixtures following the departure of manager Mark Crawford as due to holidays we were unable to field a side. Again, purely to help concentrate resources on the first team, we won't have an under 18 side next season, but the club is intending to relaunch the reserves and under 18s in the future. The 'A' team have finished in midtable in their table.

The under 15s had their first season together this term, and have done exceptionally well after a difficult start under the leadership of Eamon Finn and Graeme Bourne. They have finished 5th in the table and look set to push on for honours next season as an under 16 side with some exciting players in their squad.

The under 13s had a very successful season, ending as champions of their division, dropping just 9 points during the season. Under the leadership of John & Michael Creith they are already looking forward to next season competing as under 14s in a higher division. Also this season they progressed to the semi-finals of the Supplementary Cup where they lost out in an excellent game to Yeading HEW.

As well as a big thank you to our managers and coaches, we would also like to thank all the parents, families and friends who have supported our youngsters this season, helping out with transport, running the line and also helping with coaching. Without their help it would make life much more difficult for our youth managers.

Next season we are hoping to add two new teams to our Sunday youth set up at under 15 and under 13 level. Any players interested in taking part should send their Football CV, detailing their football career to date and all their contact details, to the club by post or by email to admin@hendonfc.net.
