Hendon's season started disappointingly this afternoon with a 1-0 defeat to Tonbridge Angels. However, whilst the result was disappointing, the performance from the Greens was encouraging as they battled throughout the game creating more chances than their opponents. However, it could have been a different story as the Angels were well in control during the first 20 minutes, and were rewarded in the 11th minute when Andy Martin scored. However, as the game went on Hendon came more into the game and fired a number of shots at goal, the best of which was a shot on the turn late on by Jermaine Hunter which went narrowly wide of the post.
