Hendon lost their second game of the season at Hampton & Richmond Borough this evening 3-1. Ian Hodges gave the Beavers the lead in the 4th minute after which Hendon only stayed in the game thanks to two fine saves by Richard Wilmot. Hampton were awarded a penalty in the 42nd minute that was taken by Hodges but saved by Wilmot, only for another penalty to be awarded for another offence. Hodges stepped up again, and Wilmot was once again the hero.
Two minutes into the second half Hodges doubled the lead, despite being suspiciously offside. The Greens then gradually came into the game and were rewarded for their efforts when Takumi Ake scored from the penalty spot after Wayne O'Sullivan was fouled. Both Danny Edwards and Ross Pickett were unfortunate not to add to the tally before Jon-Henry Hayden completed the win for Hampton in stoppage time.
