Hendon moved up to second place in the table this evening following their 2-1 victory at Horsham.
The Greens took the lead when a through ball from Lee O'Leary appeared to deceive the keeper, and Lubomir Guentchev was left with an empty net to score into. Almost immediately Horsham equalised when Allan Tait took advantage of an uncharacteristic hesitation from Berkley Laurencin.
The winner came in the 81st minute when Jamie Busby converted a penalty after Aaron Morgan had been fouled in the box.
One notable moment in the match came in the 63rd minute, when Horsham brought on Gary Charman as a substitute for his first appearance since his nasty injury that he sustained at Vale Farm last season.
