The game at Ilford was a real thriller in which everyone played his part, and the winning goal was scored 10 minutes from time by David Lane after the home team had equalised an early goal by Mickey Seeman.

The reserves won 2-1 at home to Ilford thanks to goals from Fred Hilling and Ray Poole. The visitors consolation goal was notched a few minutes from the end.

THe reserves won 1-0 at Kingstonian, thanks to a goal from Frank Allen about 20 minutes from time.

The reserves drew at home to Wealdstone. The first half was goalless but in the 50th minute of the game Wealdstone scored and it was not until about 10 minutes from time that Mickey Seeman scored from close in after a good run by Rod Sparks. Outstanding as usual was David Lane with Eddie Devlin a good second.

Our reserves we re on top form beating Enfield away from home 4-1. The scorers were Fred Hilling 2, Micky Salter and Micky Seeman.

The reserves lost at home to Sutton United 2-1, our goal being scored 15 minutes from time by Vic Cogger. Although we pressed hard thereafter we never really looked like equalising.

Micky Seeman scored two more goals as the reserves beat Clapton 3-1, but the goal of the match cmae from Danny Lakey with a tremendous right-footed shot from 25 yards.
