Joined Hampstead from Uxbridge Town in March 1932 as a replacement at left-back for Leslie Compton, who signed professional forms with Arsenal in February 1932. Remained with the club as first choice left-back until part way through season 1935-36, when he rejoined Uxbridge Town.
