Dave made his Hendon debut on Good Friday in 1955, scoring his first goal for the club in a 3-1 Athenian League defeat against Southall.
A wide attacking player, Dave remained a regular for the remainder of the campaign, scoring once more in the London Senior Cup final defeat against Walthamstow Avenue.
The following season, Dave was a regular player, appearing in a 6-3 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and picking up a Middlesex Senior Cup winners medal as the Greens defeated Wembley 2-1, Dave once again among the scorers.
In 1956/57, Dave scored seven goals in just 13 appearances, including two in a 6-2 beating of Sutton United, and another brace in a 5-0 win over Redhill.
In all, Dave made 45 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals, including that memorable Middlesex Senior Cup final goal against Wembley, and appeared alongside some legendary names - including Bill Fisher, Laurie Topp, Eric Beardsley, Dexter Adams, Pat Austin, Tommy Lawrence, Bob Avis, and a young Jimmy Quail.
