Better known for his efforts as manager of Wimbledon, Watford, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace, Dave signed for the club and made a handful of appearances before breaking his leg and moving on to St Albans. Recovered to skipper Walton & Hersham to the FA Amateur Cup success of 1973.
