Edward George Cornell was a goalkeeper who spent most of three seasons as understudy to first team 'keeper Sid Smith. He made 8 first team appearances in all when Smith was injured or unavailable owing to business calls, but had the satisfaction of being the regular goalkeeper when Hampstead Reserves won the Athenian League Reserve Section championship in 1932-33. Apparently left the club at the end of that season.
