Became a regular in the first team during the 1924/25 campaign after signing from Hampstead Garden Suburb. Returned to HGS at the end of the 1925/26 season. Reappeared in autumn 1929 for a couple of matches and would have been chosen for more, but he preferred to play for his Bank team.
