Nominally an outside-left, he joined the club in summer 1932 from Walthamstow Avenue and started the season in the first team. By the end of September 1932 he was playing mainly in the reserves at inside-left. Made a couple of later first team appearances. Appears to have left the club at the end of the 1932-33 season.
Local papers gave his initials as "A.F." for first team matches and as "A.H." for reserve matches - To date have not been able to discover if either is correct.
