One of the cornerstones of Hendon's first golden age in the 1950s, Dexter made his debut in February 1948 and went on to make more than 300 appearances over the next decade. Won 2 Athenian League titles (as well as being 3-time runner-up) and played in the famous 1955 FA Amateur Cup Final against Bishop's Auckland. Won 18 amateur caps for England and went to the Olympics in Melbourne in 1956 where he picked up an unfortunate injury. Went on to coach Barnet with a great deal of success.
