The Snowball Lottery is a scheme launched by Hendon Football Club Supporters Trust in May 2006, with the aim of helping to meet the club's operating costs while giving entrants the opportunity to win some cash..
Prize amounts depend on the number of entries - the more people who enter, the bigger the prizes.
Competition Rules
Each month, the following prizes will be available:
- the first prize is 30% of the available pool
- the second prize is 15% of the available pool
- an extra 10% of the available pool put towards the Snowball draw at Christmas.
- The remaining 45% of the available pool goes towards the Supporters Trust
So, for example, if 200 members pay £5 each per month, the available prizes would be:
- a first prize of £300 each month, including December
- a second prize of £150 each month, including December
- Snowball prize of £1200 at Christmas
Over the course of a year, a total of £5,400 would then be available to the Supporters Trust to help finance the operations of the football club.
If we could increase participation to 400, then everything doubles:
- a first prize of £600 each month, including December
- a second prize of £300 each month, including December
- Snowball prize of £2400 at Christmas
- a total of £10,800 would be available to the Supporters Trust
Draws take place after the last day of each month.
In order to be entered into the Christmas Snowball draw, a participant must have been entered into each of the previous five monthly draws (i.e. from July onwards). Draws will still be made during the closed season and winners will be notified.
How to join
Firstly, please fill in the Application Form found in the link below and send it to Simon Lawrence at the address on the form. Alternatively, you can scan it and email it to him at simon.hendon@btinternet.com.
Next, please set up a monthly bank transfer - the amount to pay each month is £5 for each ball you would like to purchase. Details of the bank account into which your monthly payment should be made are shown in the form.
