Yeading's relegation worries deepened as they crashed to a 5-0 defeat at Hendon on Saturday.
The Dons took the lead when ex-Hayes favourite Freddie Hyatt shot from outside the box inside the right hand post.
Yeading could have equalised within minutes, but Andre Delisser was denied by Paul Kelly's clearance after rounding the advancing keeper and shooting from a tight angle.
A failure to take their chances proved costly when Hendon went 2-0 up five minutes before the break. Lee Protheroe upended Paul Whitmarsh who stuck away the resultant penalty.
Seven minutes into the second half, Yeading's misery continued when vociferous manager Steve Cordery was ordered to leave his dug-out by the referee.
Hendon went on to further punish the visitors. Tony Lynch struck the ball past Danny Honey in the 57th minute, Whitmarsh poked home number four on 66 minutes and Paul Kelly slotted home a loose ball five minutes from time to make it five.
