Queens Park Rangers beat Hampstead Town last evening at Cricklewood-lane by three goals to two. The match was for the benefit of the widow and family of J. Wright, a former Hampstead Town player. Hampstead's goals were scored by Harris and Rowe, and those for the visitors by Ford, Turnbull and Lock. Wise and Rowe missed penalty kicks for Hampstead.
[J. Wright was previously named as Jack Wright, and is thought, but not known for certain, to be the same player as E.J.E. Wright (also known as Eric Wright), who played for Hampstead Town either side of the First World War. Mr. Wright died during the summer of 1925.]
