Played at the new Middlesex FA football HQ this promised to be a good test for the mixture of squad, U23's plus a couple of triallist's. Potters Bar also fielded a couple of hopefuls among their first team squad which included former Hendon players Lee O'Leary, Keagan Cole, Aaron Morgan, Lewis Hobbs(dual registered) plus Scott Cousins in the dugout.
Potters Bar started the brightest playing a fluent passing game, the chances they made were well saved by Dan Purdue who had a steady game back in the fold after a stand in performance for Potters Bar 2 weeks ago. He couldn't prevent the "away" side going into the break ahead when Sandro Costa finished a good move with a smart finish.
The second half started with a couple of changes for Hendon who equalised within 5 minutes of the restart through the trialist in the number 10 shirt. Potters Bar were reduced to 10 men when they had a man sent off for foul and abusive language and they posed little threat. Hendon took advantage and took the lead through Shaun Lucien who finished off a fine move with a stunning strike.
More changes for both sides disrupted the game but led to Hendon's 3rd goal when Cheyce Grant turned in from close range. Both teams finished the game with 10 men when Jordan Payne was taken off with what looked like a nasty ankle injury with 6 minutes remaining.
