Hampstead Town visited Park Royal to oppose the Queens Park Rangers Reserves in a friendly encounter.
The Rangers put a very strong team into the field, nine of their players being professionals, and their superior training soon told, as the Town were incapable of holding their forwards, who scored four goals in the first half to one by George Hyde for the Town.
The second half was more evenly contested, and for periods of the game the Town quite held their own and were unlucky on one or two occasions in not adding to their score. However, towards the end the Rangers added two more goals and ran out winners by 6-1.
For the Town, Jock Denham at centre-half, was at his best, and George Garlick at outside-left did not always come off worst in his tussles with Ovens.
