Kilburn were visited last Saturday in the London League, and the Town had to admit defeat by 1 goal to nil. Play ruled greatly in favour of Hampstead throughout the game, and only weak finishing, combined with an excellent display by their opponents defence, prevented the Town putting up a large score.

The only goal of the match was scored in the last ten minutes, when Kilburn, after a long period of defensive work, broke away on the right, Walter Guscott beating Matthews with a fine shot.

A feature of the game was the large number of corner kicks which fell to the Town, these being splendidly placed by Pike and Garlick, but, try as they would, for one, Hampstead's forwards failed to score.
