[The article in the paper named covers all three Christmas matches - the Boxing Day fixture, reported below, is covered in the THIRD paragraph of the article.]
On Boxing Day, at the Avenue Ground, Child's Hill, before a huge crowd, Southall were again defeated in the return match by 2 goals to 1. W. Ives scored first for the visitors, who led at the interval; F.L. Burrage equalised for Hampstead, and J.P. Croal scored the winning goal, amidst great excitement, a few minutes before time. In this game the visitors were unduly vigorous and four of Hampstead's best players were rendered 'hors de combat'.
