On Saturday morning a char-a-banc took the party to points of interest in the Island, including a visit to the Princes Tower at Corbiere (erected in the 11th century by the Duchess of Auvergne to the memory of her husband), 485 feet above sea-level, giving magnificent views of the island and the coast of France; thence to Bouley Bay, with its rugged scenery, Rozelle, and a stop at Gorey, where the team entered the water as part of their training.
Refreshed and invigorated, Hampstead [Town] on the Saturday afternoon found their form agaist the Islanders, winning another keen game by six goals to three. F.G. Butler started the scoring with a grand shot from the wing, the tally being contributed to by F.G. Young (2), C. Wise, Travers Day and Lewis Smith, the last from a penalty.
Sunday provided a welcome rest, another char-a-banc outing giving full acquaintance with the beauties of the Island.
