Hampstead [Town] failed to produce their best form in their Athenian League match with Sutton United, who deservedly won by two goals to one. When C. Wise gave Hampstead the lead within ten minutes of the start, a home victory looked fairly easy, but the visitors played up splendidly and both their equalising and winning goals were well deserved. Hampstead missed one or two good chances, and throughout played much below their regular standard.
Tomorrow (Saturday) a very attractive game is provided on the Child's Hill ground in the meeting of Hampstead Town with Civil Service, the latter now being at the head of the Isthmian League by reason of their last week's success over the Casuals. Kick off 3.30.
