Although having slightly the better of the game, West Norwood had to be content with a 1-1 draw with Hampstead Town at West Norwood. The visitors were without Goodwin, their goalkeeper, for the first twenty minutes, and Irwin "kept" well in his absence, but he was, however, well beaten by Forbes in the first fifteen minutes when, following a free kick for carrying, Forbes netted from a rebound from Wilton's shot. After this success the home side put up a stubborn defence, and it was not until towards the end of the game that Reinke, who was easily the best of the Hampstead forwards, equalised with a good shot. Just before the final whistle Irwin missed in extraordinary fashion when he had the goal at his mercy. Iles and Brazier played well at back.
