In an Athenian League match at Enfield on Saturday a goal scored by W. Green gave Enfield a half-time lead, but on the run of the play Hampstead Town were a trifle unlucky not to score. Enfield's new goalkeeper, H. Bothamly, played a great game. Midway through the second half Wise equalised for Hampstead, the final score being 1-1.
From "SPORTS GLEANINGS", 27 March 1925 :
Hampstead Town will field their usual team in to-morrow's match with Redhill. It is unfortunate for the club that the Middlesex F.A. have decided that the final of the Middlesex Senior Cup must be played on Easter Monday as Hampstead Town are under contract to play their first team in Liege, Belgium, on that day. Under the circumstances they will place the best team they can raise in the field. Their opponents will be either Southall or Savoy Hotel.
