Extract from the edition of 3 June 1927 :
In the last game at Rheydt, another fine city in the textile manufacturing area, Hampstead, having become acclimatised to the strange conditions, won another strenuous match against a very fine team by the satisfactory margin of four goals to two. Hampstead's goals were scored by Smy (2), Harvey, and Howell.
With one loss, one draw, and one win against such doughty opponents the Hampstead players and officials felt well pleased with themselves and their representation of English amateur football, and due celebration was made on the return journey, which, like the outward trip, was made under perfect conditions and without mishap.
[Scorers and goalkeeper only shown in the team.]
