On Tuesday night, Hendon trailed to an early goal, then saw a penalty from Dale Binns saved by Delroy Preddie (the rebound from Jon-Barrie Bates was brilliantly palmed away by the goalkeeeper), only for Eugene Ofori to score twice in 10 minutes to give Hendon the lead. A penalty by Nevin Saroya put Yeading level just before half-time and they took the lead midway through the period when former Hendon man Dereck Brown, once an England Non-League international and now on Johnson Hippolyte's coaching staff, scored with a magnificent 25-yard strike. With two minutes to go Yeading made it 4-2, but Steve Forbes reduced the arrears with a good shot in the dying moments.
