Hampstead drew with Walthamstow Avenue, two all, on the Avenue ground last night before a large crowd. Failure to win has lost them the Athenian League championship unless a miracle happens on Saturday. It will be necessary for Hampstead to beat Uxbridge Town by a large score and Wathamstow to lose against Romford to give Hampstead first place, but their record is commendable.

Last night they scored first through Evans, but the home side equalised before half-time through Willshaw although they missed a penalty.

Changing over Walthamstow went ahead again through Willshaw, but Bucci brought the scores level through a penalty kick.
