Hendon's Ryman League Premier Division fixture against runaway leaders Dartford was postponed on Friday afternoon, but they were invited by Hitchin Town to play in a "training match" at the Canaries training facility - the old Baldock Town ground - which has a 3G surface.
Both teams put out near full-strength teams in the first half and the only goal came from Hendon's Bradley Woods-Garness after 43 minutes.
In the second half, the teams made a number of changes and Hendon took control adding two more goals. The first came after 56 minutes when Jamie Busby converted a penalty and the second, seven minutes later, was courtesy of Yacine Hamada.
Despite the fact that the match was only announced on Friday afternoon, the game attracted a crowd of around 70, proof - if it was needed - of fans' desperation to watch some football after the slew of postponements.
