We made certain of two points from our visit to St Albans last Saturday with a splendid 4-0 victory.

Two goals up at the interval, our scorers were Gerry O'Rourke, David Hyde, Laurie Churchill and Jimmy Quail. We welcomed the return in this game of John Fisher to centre-half and Fred Hilling, who came in at right-half for the indisposed Roy Walker.

With Sleap playing for England and Tony Knox standing by at Bangor as reserve, Jimmy Quail had a storming game at left-half. Some think he is the best left-half in the business.

The win took us to second place in the table, just one point behind leaders Wimbledon.
