What sweet revenge! Wycombe Wanderers, the only Isthmian League side to beat us this season, humbled and trounced by 9 goals to 2.

It was a pity that the evening was such a miserable wet and cold one to keep the crowd down to the smallest of the season. The performance was most impressive, with all our players striking form and playing with great vigour.

Danny Lakey put us in front after 8 minutes and from then on we never looked back. A tremendous shot from Peter Slade from 30 yards one minute later makde it two, but French at the other end reduced the arrears.

Lakey again, then Paul Bates from a penalty and Geoff Riddy made it 4-2 at the interval. Then David Hyde took over and with three good goals and another each from Geoff Riddy and Danny Lakey made the rout complete.
