Our boys have once again laid the Enfield bogey aside with a very fine victory in the London Challenge Cup last week. We were a little fortunate to change over level at half time, Enfield had missed at least two very good chances.
We started the second half at full speed and Jimmy Quail was on hand to finish off a very good move by David Hyde and Peter Slade in the 47th minute. Eleven minutes later a good run by Danny Lakey who crossed for Peter Slade to make it number two.
Roy Thomas reduced the arrears with a scrambled goal, but just before the end Elved Price put the issue beyond doubt from another Peter Slade pass.
This win gives us a chance against Arsenal on 8th October at Highbury in the next round.
