Despite the current injury crisis, the First team were successful at Maidstone United last Saturday, thanks to two second half goals from Jimmy Quail. It was in this game that Micky Cooper was injured and Danny Lakey aggravated his ankle.

We should like to thank Barnet and particularly their manager, Dexter Adams, for helping us out in this game. Due to John Swannell's injury - he twisted his knee in the game against St Albans - and the absence of reserve Ron Whittaker on business, the Club was left without a regular goalkeeper.

Barnet came to the rescue and lent us John Daniel, who had prlayed the previous Monday for their first team in a cup match against Tonbridge, and he acquitted himself well.
