For our game at Bromley last Saturday we fielded the same side as for the Wycombe game on the previous Tuesday.
We were rather slow settling down, Bromley having the better of the early exchanges and after only six minutes we found ourselves a goal down when the home side scored following a corner.
After half an hour's play, Peter Anderson was fouled well inside the area and a confidently taken penalty from David Hogwood put us on level terms. Two minutes later Mickey Cooper cut in from the left to shoot us into the lead and for good measure Peter Anderson pushed home a Mickey Cooper just on half-time to give us a 3-1 advantage at the interval.
The game restarted with our boys displaying a marked superiority in all departments except the ability to put the ball into the net, the best effort coming from John Wilson who saw his goal-bound shot strike the upright.
After 27 minutes Bromley were allowed back into the game briefly when they scored following some goalmouth confusion on our part. Six minutes from time and directly after a courageous save by John Swannell, the ball was cleared to the other end and into the net via a Peter Anderson shot from the left - his second goal and our fourth.
