Hendon had a useful run out at Edgware Town to give a number of squad players a game along with four trialists. That said, seven of the Greens starting line-up had played a part in Saturday's victory over Maidstone United.
Both sides started in lively fashion and it was the home side who took the lead in the 17th minute when Ben Cain capitalised on an error from Luke Blackmore to slot the ball home from an acute angle.
It took just five minutes for the Greens to get back on level terms when Lubomir Guentchev put in Dean Green to score the equaliser from the edge of the penalty area, beating the keeper with a fierce low drive.
However, another moment of indecision from Blackmore in the 42nd minute enabled Edgware to regain the lead three minutes before half-time, Cain once again being the beneficary of the error.
As is normal with friendlies, both sides made a number of changes during the second half, but there was no addition to the scoreline until the 75th minute when Rob Ursell found the back of the net to equalise again for Hendon.
Lubomir Guentchev then put the Greens in front two minutes later with a fine finish off the post. However, he then received the ultimate insult as he was immediately replaced by his father, Bontcho Guentchev!
Iavor Guentchev had a chance to get on the scoresheet shortly afterwards, but his effort flew narrowly wide of the post. It fell to trialist Ercan Yildirim to complete the scoring two minutes from time.
