Hendon came away from North Greenford United on Wednesday evening more than satisfied after a 7-0 victory on another warm night.
It took the Greens 31 minutes to open the scoring, but from there on the goals came thick and fast. The opener was scored by Brian Haule when he headed home a cross from Rob Ursell and six minutes later Haule doubled the lead after Lee O'Leary's shot had been parried by the North Greenford keeper. In between the two goals Charlie Mapes had an effort hit the woodwork, and Rob Ursell saw his curling shot superbly tipped wide of the post.
Goal number three came in the 54th minute when Leon Nelson turned and lashed the ball into the roof of the net, and ten minutes later Lee O'Leary fired in a superb shot across goal inside the far post after a good run.
In the 71st minute Daniel Dyer was fouled on the edge of the penalty area, and he stepped up to send the keeper the wrong way to make the score 5-0. Seven minutes later Victor Osubu scored with a delightful lob from 25 yards, and on the stroke of full time Nico Coleman completed the scoring with a blistering strike from the edge of the penalty area.
