A stronger, more experienced Hendon side cashed in on three defensive errors to take the points in Yeading's first game in the Diadora League Premier Division.
Yeading gave away the ball far too much and generally lacked composure.
The visitors took the lead after 29 minutes when Jason Tucker allowed Blackman too much room and the Hendon man whipped the ball home at the near post.
Hector Welsh then missed Yeading's best chance of the match when he blazed over with only the goalkeeper to beat and Hendon went further ahead in the 58th minute when Clark had a free header at the far post.
Whiskey and Crawford came on for Tucker and Oatway in a double substitution and with new players in midfield Yeading got the upper hand.
Indeed, Yeading made it 2-1 in the 69th minute when Driscoll and Dicker combined in a good move allowing Driscoll to score as the home side had a good spell without creating many chances.
But then, with seven minutes remaining, Xavier cashed in on a bad pass from Holman on the halfway line to settle the issue.
