Saturday 27 April - Survival secured

Hendon secured their survival at step 3 for another season with a crucial final-day 1-0 victory against Swindon Supermarine at Silver Jubilee this afternoon.

Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick's 6th minute goal proved to be the only goal of the game and meant that results elsewhere had no impact on the Greens' survival and indeed secured a 16th placed finish in their inaugural season in the Southern League.

Wednesday 24 April - Bucket collection for Railway Children

Our bucket collection on Saturday afternoon will be for Railway Children, which is an international charity working with street children in the UK, East Africa and India. Monday 22 April - Survival bid goes down to final day

Hendon twice took the lead in their final away game of the season at Chesham United but were unable to hold on to the points, being pegged back in the final minutes to draw 2-2 and ensure the survival saga goes right down to the wire.

Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick gave the Greens the lead from the penalty spot after 14 minutes an advantage that was held until just after half-time when David Pearce equalised for the Generals.

Hippolyte-Patrick restored Hendon's advantage with 16 minutes remaining, again from the penalty spot, before a handball decision late on gave Pearce the chance to level things up from 12-yards, something he duly did by drilling the ball straight down the middle of the goal.

Hendon drop to 19th, one place and one point above Walton Casuals in the final relegation zone as we go into Saturday's vital game with Swindon Supermarine.

Saturday 20 April - Neal Rocks Greens

A hat-trick from Rocky Neal secured a 3-2 win for Taunton Town at Silver Jubilee Park this afternoon, a result which kept things interesting at both ends of the table.

The visitor's victory keeps them in the title hunt with two games to play following Weymouth's draw with Chesham whilst the Greens are now three points above the drop zone with two games to play.

Rocky Neal was the visitor's hero with a superb hat-trick. He opened the scoring in the 7th minute, a strike that was equalised in the 23rd minute by a superb piece of Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick opportunism.

Within 60 seconds Neal regained the advantage for the visitors with a superb solo goal of his own and although Hendon had the greater possession after the break, they failed to work the Taunton goalkeeper.

Neal completed his treble with a couple of minutes remaining from the penalty spot before Ogo Obi curled in a beautiful strike in stoppage time off the post, a goal that proved no more than a consolation.

The Greens visit Chesham United on Monday afternoon in pursuit of the result that could secure their Step 3 place for next season.

Wednesday 17 April - Amendment to Saturday's Line-Up

With thanks to David Ballheimer for flagging it up, a change has been made to the team line-up for the game at Farnborough.

Matty Newman actually wore number 13 instead of Romario Jonas who was listed at 13 on the teamsheet and it was Newman that replaced Jacob Gardiner-Smith just past the hour mark, making his return from a lengthy injury lay-off in the process.

Saturday 13 April - Disappointment for Greens

Hendon suffered a disappointing afternoon at the Rushmoor Stadium going down 3-0 at Farnborough.

Connor Cullen opened the scoring for the hosts on the stroke of half-time and completed the scoring, sandwiching a goal from Rob Bartley. The Greens also had a penalty saved to compound a miserable afternoon.

The result leaves the side in 17th place, however with Frome, Gosport, Walton Casuals and Basingstoke Town all losing, the gap between Gosport in 20th and the Greens remains 5 points with three matches remaining.
