Greens complete double over Aveley

Despite their torrid recent form, a somewhat resurgent Hendon pulled together to complete the double over Aveley this afternoon at Mill Road.

South Kilburn arranged for Saturday 12th

Our London Senior Cup tie at South Kilburn will now take place on Saturday 12th December 2009.

Carshalton and Maidstone postponements

Both our games against Carshalton Athletic and Maidstone United in the next few weeks have been postponed.

Disappointing defeat at Abbey

Hendon were left rueing the fact that their performance in the final third wasn't good enough this afternoon at Waltham Abbey, with the home side winning 1-0 thanks to an 83rd minute goal from Billy Holland.

South Kilburn game NOT on 5th

It has been brought to our attention this evening that there is an article in one of the local papers stating that our game with South Kilburn has been fixed for Saturday 5th December.

Angels win entertaining encounter

Hendon were beaten 2-1 at Tonbridge Angels last night in a game that was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish.

Tooting match postponed

After much heavy rain in the local area over the last 48 hours, today's game with Tooting & Mitcham has been postponed.

Lubo reaches his century

Lubomir Guentchev notched up his 100th appearance in yesterday's cup match with Wingate, becoming the fifth member of the current playing squad to reach the mark (Gary McCann and Freddie Hyatt are also members of this select club, but both hung up their boots long ago!) Lubo made his debut in August 2007 as a substitute against Heybridge Swifts in a 0-0 draw, having decided to join his father, Bontcho, and brother, Iavor, at the club.

Greens grab defeat from the jaws of victory

With 6 minutes to go in extra time, Hendon were in a comfortable position to close the game out and secure progression to the next round of the league cup.

October snowball draw

The October Snowball Draw was held at half-time of tonight's match against Wingate & Finchley and attracted a record number of balls (184).

It's Hanworth in the Middlesex Cup

Hendon start their Middlesex Senior Cup campaign with a visit to Hanworth Villa, 4-3 victors this evening over Wingate & Finchley - our opponents on Wednesday night.

Dunn joins on loan

Club secretary Graham Etchell announced shortly before today's game that we have signed young Sutton United striker Billy Dunn on a three month loan deal.

Guentchev hat-trick earns Greens a point

Hendon had to twice come back from two goals down at AFC Hornchurch in a game that finally ended 4-4, and the Greens had Lubomir Guentchev to thank as the Bulgarian scored a hat-trick.

Wealdstone game rearranged

Our outstanding away trip to Wealdstone has been rearranged for Tuesday 5th January, kick off 7.

London Senior Cup tie across the carpark!

Our opponents in the London Senior Cup will be South Kilburn, who beat Dulwich Hamlet 2-1 at Champion Hill tonight.
