Saturday 29 February - Ruthless City defeat Greens

Hendon were beaten 4-1 this afternoon by title chasing Truro City with the visitors taking advantage of one or two errors to strengthen their championship credentials.

After losing skipper Tommy Brewer to injury after ten minutes, the visitors went ahead when Jonathan North appeared to be fouled and spilled the ball over the line, yet the decision didn't go in his favour before Shaun Lucien equalised just before the break.

Will Swan seized upon a defensive error to make it 2-1 in the second half before Harlain Mbayo scored from a corner. As the Greens looked to get back in the game Swan scored his second of the afternoon to complete a successful afternoon for Truro on their longest trip of the season.

Thursday 27 February - Rihards returns to Barnet

Today marks the end of Rihards Matrevics' loan spell with the club and he returns up the road to Barnet.

Since joining the club at the end of November and making his debut in the 2-2 draw at Blackfield & Langley, Rihards grew into an important member of the squad and put in some outstanding performances that helped our move up the table as well as winning the fans over with his personality and hard work. Indeed, his commitment was there for all to see last weekend when he put off a trip home to Latvia to see his family to deputise for the unwell Jonathan North at very short notice.

Rihards made 14 appearances in all competitions for the club over the last three months and he leaves with our thanks and best wishes for the rest of his career. We'll keep an eye on his progress with interest.

We are delighted to be able to offer a number of hugely special and collectable items for auction on Wednesday evening at the Ray Parlour.

Firstly we have a match-worn Hendon shirt from the 1965/6 season courtesy of a long-term supporter living in Canada, Alan Wightman. The shirt is a number 7 and has a reserve price of 250 pounds.

Hendon's excellent run came to an end this afternoon at play-off chasing Salisbury who won 2-0 with a goal in either half.

Jacob Wannell gave the hosts the lead four minutes before the break and despite the Greens creating some good second half chances, they were made to pay for a defensive error with fifteen minutes remaining when Toby Holmes finished to make it 2-0.

Unfortunately this afternoon's match with Hayes & Yeading United fell foul of the increasingly poor conditions just before kick-off.

Saturday 15 February - North signs on

We are pleased to be able to confirm Lee Allinson's latest signing this afternoon with Jonathan North having signed a contract that runs until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Jonathan will be a familiar face to Greens fans, having been a regular fixture for Wealdstone over the last ten years in both the Isthmian Premier and Conference South, making well over 350 appearances for the club and winning their supporter's player of the year award 3 times.

We welcome Jonathan to the club and look forward to him making his debut for the club in the near future.

Friday 14 February - Look ahead to Hayes & Yeading

Hendon aim to make it 7 wins in a row as they host Hayes & Yeading at Silver Jubilee Park tomorrow afternoon. Both teams are flying high in the form table with Hayes having won 5 and lost 1 of their last 6 whilst Hendon have won six in a row for the first time in almost five years.

Hendon's last fixture saw a comfortable win over bottom of the table Dorchester with goals from Tommy Brewer, Joe White and Simeon Olarerin sealing the 3 points for the Greens. Meanwhile, Hayes made the trip to Yate Town where a brace from ex-Green Francis Amartey saw them return down the M4 with the 3 points.

Hendon and Hayes have already gone to battle on 3 different occasions this season. The first was the classic FA cup tie in October, where the hosts Hayes advanced into the next round with a 5-4 victory over the Greens. Hendon were 4-1 down at one point but rallied to draw level at 4-4 before a late penalty saw the hosts progress. Hayes also won the next meeting in the league, as they hosted the Greens again and won 3-2. Hendon finally got a win in the third fixture between the two clubs at home in the League Cup after a penalty shootout win.

Both clubs will be aiming to keep their fine form going as we meet for the 4th time this campaign.

Friday 14 February - Jatin's going Green!

Supporters attending tomorrow's game against Hayes & Yeading United may well be in for a big surprise.

Jatin Guntupalli challenged Hendon supporters via Twitter to raise £500 for next season's 12th Man Fund following last weekend's victory over Dorcheter Town, promising to dye his hair green for tomorrow's match if the target was reached.

Following a number of extremely generous donations, the target was exceeded yesterday afternoon and Jatin, good to his word, has spent this morning scouring Brentford's finest chemists for green hair dye.

On behalf of the club, we'd like to thank everyone that generously donated towards the 12th Man Fund and, most of all, to Jatin for being such an amazing sport. If anyone would still like to contribute tomorrow, please see Jatin or Simon Lawrence at the game.

Saturday 08 February - Allinson post-match thoughts

The interview has been uploaded to the HFCTV YouTube channel and can be found at the below link.

Saturday 08 February - Six in a row!

Hendon shook off a determined Dorchester Town side to record a sixth consecutive league win in Dorset this afternoon and move up a place to twelfth in the table.

After riding their luck in the opening 20 minutes and being indebted to Rihards Matrevics for an outstanding triple save to keep the Magpies out, the Greens scored early in the second half through skipper Tommy Brewer to break the hosts' resistance.

Joe White added a 2nd two minutes from time to seal the points and Simeon Olalerin slid home Luca Allinson's cross in the final minute of stoppage time to add some gloss to the scoreline.

Friday 07 February - Percy stays

It has been confirmed that the loan of Percy Kiangebeni from Colchester United has been extended.

As a result, Percy will remain at SJP for the rest of the season. Our thanks to Colchester for their assistance in making this deal possible and we look forward to watching much more of Percy over the next couple of months.

Friday 07 February - Dorchester Preview

Hendon continue to climb the table with a string of impressive league performances, so much so that it saw the club earn January club of the month after taking 12 points from a possible 15, scoring 12 goals and conceding just 3.

They extended that brilliant January into the beginning of February after beating Yate Town 2-1 at home last weekend. Despite the win, Lee Allinson was not happy with the performance stating, “it was our worst performance of the five”. Despite this, Hendon find themselves in perfect form heading into this game by sitting in 13th, 7 points above the bottom 3

On the other hand, our opponents Dorchester, are struggling for form, having not won in the league since October. With only 3 wins all season, it’s been a season of misery so far for the club as they look all but certain to face the drop, currently rock bottom of the league, 11 points from safety.

Our first encounter this season ended with a rare Dorchester win, as Jack Hoey sunk the Greens with a hat-trick. During the game, Hendon failed to control a half time lead as they were overrun by the dominant Dorchester side after the break.

Hendon will have a new addition in the squad in the form of Tyrique Clarke. The 18-year-old midfielder joins us from Met Police. However, the squad will be without striker Kingsley Eshun, who is expected to sign for Hartley Wintney. Dorchester have also added to their squad with the addition of French-born striker Emile Kpama Ngoy.

Whilst the form guide would suggest the three points could come back with the Greens, Dorchester will be looking to test the Greens in an attempt to kick-start their great escape from the bottom of the table.

Posted at 10:45

Thursday 06 February - One in and one departs

Lee Allinson has made a couple of tweaks to his squad with the addition of one new face the the release of an existing squad member.

Joing the club is 18 year old midfielder Tyrique Clarke who started the season with Yeovil Town before a spell with Met Police from whom he joins us.

Heading out is striker Kingsley Eshun who is expected to sign for Hartley Wintney. Kingsley joined the club in November and made 7 appearances for the club, scoring twice including the opening goal in our home game against Hartley.

We'd like to welcome Tyrique to Silver Jubilee Park and wish him well for his stay with us, whilst we'd also like to thank Kingsley for his efforts with us over the past three months and wish him well for the future.

Saturday 01 February - Five in a row for Greens

Hendon made it 5 league wins in a row to move up to 13th place in the table with a battling 2-1 win over Yate Town this afternoon.

Joe White opened the scoring just beyond the half hour mark converting Liam Brooks' pass. James Taylor followed up an effort that hit the post to equalise for Yate in the second half before White netted his second of the afternoon for the winner with 15 minutes remaining, heading home from Shaun Lucien's cross.
