Hendon lost their game with Staines Town this evening 2-0, a quick double from the visitors proving too much for the Greens. It wasn't until the 53rd minute that the first goal came, Howard Newton able to take advantage of a defensive error, while within 80 seconds Richard Butler had made the most of Hendon's lack of concentration to double the lead. The Dons continued to battle, to little avail, not managing to convert a number of good chances to get a consolation goal.
