Hendon overcame a test from Redbridge to move into the next round of the London Senior Cup last night, securing themselves a home draw against Leyton Orient.
Keagan Cole returned to the site of his Hendon first-team debut to secure the win midway through the second half.
Dave Diedhiou opened the scoring with a trademark header at the back post before Solomon Ogunwomoju equalised before the break. Malachi Napa put the hosts ahead within a minute of the restart before Florian Ada made it three goals in three games to equalise.
Then Cole stepped up to settle the tie with a smart finish more than nine-and-a-half years after his first-team bow in the same competition (March 2016).
Next up for the Greens is a short journey to Hayes & Yeading on Saturday afternoon, kick off at 3pm.
